Granting Process

 To receive a grant from the West:

• An organization must be a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization under Section 170 of the United States Internal Revenue Service code

• The organization must serve primarily women, children, and/or disabled adults in the Tucson area

• Grants are given for specific, direct services provided by the organization, not for general operating expenses

• The organization must be nominated by a member in good standing of The West, Inc.

• Each year organizations are selected to receive grants by members of the West’s Granting Committee

 There are many worthy organizations in Tucson, and there is a tremendous need for services. Since 1981, the West has given to over 73 different agencies.
